The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.”

Robert Wyland

It’s been a dream of mine to work out of state, but I never thought I would travel across the U.S. to do it for the first time – and in such a big way. My dear friend, Natalie of Four Corners Photography, happily invited me to go on a wonderful adventure with her. And four nights + five shoots later, I have never felt more alive and inspired!

Rialto Beach was the inspiration behind this bridal portrait shoot starring Lindsay Thurston, a Seattle teacher + lifestyle blogger who shares tips on elevating your style without emptying your bank account. With gloomy skies and dark rock beds, this location was a moody dream! We wanted to juxtapose the setting with soft, feminine touches like lush florals, classic calligraphy, a stunning opal ring from Trumpet & Horn and a flowy dress that was perfect for a windy day.

We love what Natalie had to say about the weather: “The movement that wind draws through an image speaks to me… I feel a connection to the breeze even though I don’t feel it myself. I know you might think that the wind might mess up your hair, but trust me, it makes your hair dance.” – Amanda Jewel Floral & Design
