“I take you… to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse… This is my solemn vow.”

“We hear these vows over and over to the point that they can just become simply words. So how can we hear them with new meaning and depth? Lindsay Lee Photography and I thought through this as we studied the studio space we were looking to create in. Peeling walls, creaking floors, and dust dancing through the window light. It felt like an old love. The love that has experienced much, yet stands strong in the foundation. We wanted to evoke the feeling of vibrancy in excitement yet softness in history of love in this “old love” space. In short, a modern love with and old world love.”

“The table was covered with a dusty rose linen and dressed with modern silverware and handmade plates created by 1220 Ceramics Studio. Katie Wachowiak designed minimal, fresh arrangements throughout the table along with dried arrangements floating from the ceiling. Katie also put together flowers in floral frogs, which represented new life rising, that the couple could take their portraits in. The menus, place cards, and invitation suite, accompanied by love letters was designed on handmade paper by Vivian Kammel.”

“The hair, styled by Jaqueline Worthington, was to inspire a soft flowing hairstyle with a modern twist along with the subtle yet striking make-up by Artistry by Sydney. The cake, by Sassie Cakes, was created to echo the history of the studio while bringing in a modern touch with the dried florals adorned on the front. Unscripted Visuals captured the movement of the day and sweet vendors coming together to create this story while Lindsay Lee Photography captured beautiful moments. Every detail came together beautifully with the guidance of the planner, Krissy of Simply Be So Events.”
