When it comes to wedding inspiration, real couples with their own love story to tell will forever be a favorite of mine to feature. An idyllic backdrop, like today’s engagement at Joshua Hill, lets the couples love take center stage as the natural scenery adds interest and creates for stunning imagery that were beautifully captured by fine art photographer Mallory Dawn.
Words from the photographer, Mallory Dawn –
“I love when couples are up for adventure! Sarah & Ty wanted to go to Joshua Tree for their engagement session and I couldn’t say “yes” quick enough, I was so excited! Sarah & Ty are such a fun and easy going couple, and are clearly meant for one another. They actually met when they were eight years old because they were neighbors. They always had a crush on one another but started dating right after high school and have been together ever since. I feel so honored to be able to tell their love story. They will be married this coming October and I can’t wait to capture their special day.
We had such a blast exploring the beautiful areas of Joshua Tree. The light there is absolutely stunning! We would just hop out of the car when I saw a spot that looked special, which was really fun and exciting. I think it is so important for brides to have an open and adventurous mind when it comes to photos. I know it can be hard to let go during the planning process, but trust your photographer and have fun. That will allow for real moments which will get you stunning images!”
