I love when my Honor Society members create prettiness and then share the inspiration with my readers which is exactly what the amazing Sara, of Mrs. Freund & Co, did. Inspired by mixing vintage style with modern details at classic venues, an enchanted greenhouse comes to life with a romantic garden feel with the most beautiful tablescape featuring tulle, lace, sequin, & leaf taffeta fabrics to show a textured and eclectic look. Whether you are planning an intimate dinner or a spectacular celebration for the masses, Mrs. Freund & Co.’s, wedding rentals are a must-see for creating an inspired event.

“I was inspired to do this shoot off of a single image of a floral centerpiece – I love when that happens! I love mixing vintage and modern and love outdoor events, especially at affordable venues. I chose the venue, Cheney Mansion, as it is in Oak Park where I lived when I met and married my husband. Oak Park is full of unique, romantic mansions and venues with rich histories and fantastic details. I wanted a vintage, romantic garden feel and this venue fit my vision beautifully. I chose to set up the shoot on the patio by the gorgeous outdoor greenhouse in the back of the mansion. I chose linens from my own collection in tulle, lace, sequin, & leaf taffeta fabrics to show a mixed texture & eclectic look.
I worked with some fantastic vendors to get some vintage china to use to accent the look, as well as a gorgeous cake that highlighted the lace detail from the sweetheart table perfectly! I made an escort board from a fantastic vintage frame I bought at a thrift store, and paired it with a table full of favors that were mini bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider – I think this is a fantastic alternative to mini champagne bottles as not all guests drink, especially when you have children invited.
The florals which were the main inspiration for the shoot – were spectacular and stood out even in a lush garden setting. I set up a simple ceremony inside the greenhouse using a sequin silver aisle runner, and lace runners draped to adorn the back row of the chairs. Vintage handmade paper lined envelopes paired with cream and silver foil invitations completed the look for the day.”
