There is no better way to welcome the weekend than with breathtaking bridal portraits captured beautifully by Alicia Lucia in the heart of New Mexico. An ethereal lavender hued gown that dances in the wind and a lush bouquet by Stephanie Yardman create for an epic look.
Words from the photographer –
“Our biggest inspiration for this bridal session came from the incredibly unique terrain that New Mexico has to offer. We wanted to highlight those epic landscapes, so we traveled 2 hours outside of Albuquerque for this bridal session. We also designed this shoot around the trending free form bouquets.. They are all the rage in the U.S. & stylistically, this series screamed for a bouquet rich of soft tones with tons of movement. In the interest of complimenting the breathtaking terrain & stunning wardrobe, the florist paired soft tones with an earthy feel to bring this look to the next level. Knowing that there’s generally a breeze this time of year, she used hearty florals and longer streamers to help capture that movement. To compliment the organic free flowing bouquet, the hair and make up artist, Christy Johnson highlighted the model’s natural beauty by focusing on earthy tones without distracting from the splendor of the setting. She was also inspired by Shelby’s incredible hair and emphasized the length of it by creating long soft curls and added depth and shine to the dark tones by gently dusting her hair in shine spray.”
