If you’re a firm believer that true love should be elevated than today’s anniversary session set atop the glorious ruins of Knapps Castle, is a literal expression of such. Let me begin today’s post with a little disclaimer, if heart-eyed emojis were entirely appropriate for an editor to use, then this post would be filled to the brim with them because I am incredibly honored to be featuring Jenny of Jen’s Events one-year anniversary portraits with her husband Brett. Every detail isn’t just for the pretty but heartfelt details from their wedding day, including lyrics from their first dance, beautifully penned by Pirouette Paper and the most darling of cake toppers, that is a recreation of Jenny and Brett on their wedding day!
Words from the bride, Jenny –
“Having been together since we were 16 years old, we grew up together and experienced a lot of things together. Most of Brett’s free time was spent playing baseball and mine was in the stands. During our relationship, we were pretty independent of each other. We went to rival high schools and then different colleges. So we were able to live our own lives, but still have each other at the end of the day. When we first started dating, there was no way I ever imagined that ten years to the date, I would be marrying him. Now here we are, celebrating our first anniversary as husband and wife.
The shoot included items from our actual wedding like the champagne glasses, my belt, Brett’s suit, and even the tulle skirt that I made myself! Cake Bakeshop recreated our cake from our wedding day. Queen J Productions made this beautiful cake topper for us that is a replica of us on our wedding day even with our ceremony backdrop. Pirouette Paper beautifully wrote out lyrics from our first dance song with her amazing calligraphy.”
